Biofiltration stormwater treatment technologies developed under Deletic's leadership have been widely implemented across Australia and exported overseas (e.g. Singapore and Israel). Deletic's equation on pollutant removal by grassed surfaces features in American Association of Civil Engineers technical guides. Her work on stormwater harvesting is at the cutting edge in the world: despite her youth, she is one of the most widely published stormwater researchers of all time. A fervent sustainability advocate, she takes an active part in community activities. She regularly briefs our policy makers on urban water issues and is invited to speak at top inter-government meetings.
